What we treat at our walk-in
Our walk-in clinic in Toronto handles the everyday concerns that don't need an emergency room but shouldn't wait until next week. Common reasons patients drop in include colds and flu, sore throats, ear and sinus infections, urinary tract infections, skin rashes and eczema flare-ups, allergies, pink eye, minor cuts and burns, sprains, prescription refills, sick notes, and follow-up on lab results.
We also handle birth control consultations, contraception prescriptions, STI testing, vaccinations including flu shots, travel-medicine questions, and quick assessments for headaches, dizziness, or unexplained pain. If something more serious turns up during your visit, Dr. Vinita Singh will arrange the right tests, imaging, or specialist referral and explain the next steps clearly.
When to walk in vs. book ahead
The walk-in is best for new, short-term concerns and quick administrative needs. For ongoing issues like diabetes, heart disease, mental-health follow-ups, or annual physicals, booking a regular appointment gives you a longer visit and better continuity of care. Not sure which you need? Call us at our reception line and we'll point you in the right direction.
Hours & how to find us
We're open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at 1062 Bloor Street West, near Dufferin Station on the TTC Bloor-Danforth line. Wait times are typically shortest mid-morning on weekdays. OHIP covers your visit; some travel-medicine and uninsured services have a posted private fee.
Why patients choose Bloor Hopewood Medical Clinic
We run our walk-in clinic with the same standards as our family practice — unhurried, attentive, and respectful. Patients tell us they appreciate that we don't turn complex cases away, that we explain things in plain language, and that our LGBTQ+ community feels welcomed and safe here.
